Beaver pond along the pulp haul road, near Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, 2016. I used to jog along here with Winnie, and the beavers would slap their tails on the water to warn her away and she would get very excited about it all and splash around the edges.
There are no beavers around us these days but Ada and I did see a mink skittering along the stream bank last summer behind our house.
